Lucia brings advanced training in therapeutic approaches that address sensory processing and self-regulation.
She completed intensive mentorship with Dr. Lucy Miller at the STAR Center in Colorado and participated in the standardization of the SP3D assessment. She is actively involved in community outreach and has presented on topics including sensory-informed care, collaborative practice, and strategies to support learning and daily life.

Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Lucia provides evaluation and treatment for children from early childhood onward. Therapy is highly individualized and designed to build a strong sensory-motor foundation, supporting development across home, school, and community environments. Collaboration with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other providers is central to helping children thrive.

Sensory Wellness Across the Lifespan
We all experience the world through our senses. Lucia helps individuals better understand their unique sensory preferences and sensitivities, offering strategies to support regulation, focus, and overall well-being in daily life at home, school, work, and in the community.

Misophonia Support
Lucia provides individualized support for individuals experiencing sound sensitivity and misophonia. Therapy focuses on improving daily functioning, reducing sensory overwhelm, and developing proactive strategies for managing triggers.​

Lucia is a Senior Screener for Irlen Syndrome, a brain-based visual processing condition that can impact reading, attention, and visual comfort. She provides screening and guidance to support improved learning and daily functioning.

Occupational Therapist
Lucia P. Lara, OTR/L is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for helping individuals and families thrive.
She specializes in sensory processing, autism, neurodiversity, Irlen Syndrome, and misophonia, with a strong focus on supporting children through individualized, strengths-based care.
While her primary focus is pediatrics, Lucia also provides sensory wellness support across the lifespan.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy supports children in developing the skills they need for everyday life, including play, learning, self-care, and participation at home and school.
Through a strengths-based and individualized approach, we address areas such as sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, and independence with daily routines.
By collaborating closely with families and other providers, we help children build confidence, improve functional skills, and thrive in their daily environments.
